Meet The Team
At Home From Home we take pride in our ability to retain the same staff most of which have been with us since we opened our doors in 2007, this offers the children in our care consistency of care and familiar friendly faces each day as they come through our doors. Nothing can be more unsettling for a child than having to form new relationships with staff
Olivia Hogan - Owner Manger
Hi my name is Olivia Hogan and I am the owner/manager of Home from Home Crèche Montessori& Afterschool Club. I opened Home from Home in 2007, but it has been in business since 2005 and for those first 2 years I managed the crèche.
I am a fully qualified childcare professional with a passion for the business. I work in the babies/wobblers area and I am always available if a parent, child or staff member needs a chat about anything.
Olivia Hogan - Owner Manger
I’ve worked in childcare for over 13 years now and I am a firm believer play based learning for the kids in our care, I feel this method allows a child be a child but also prepares them for the more structured environment that awaits them in primary school.
I have a great relationship with all my staff and for me this is the main ingredient that allows us to create a home from home environment for the children. I am also a mother of two young children which I feel helps when dealing with parents because I can empathise and put myself in the parents position.
Amy Marshall - Assistant Manager
Hi my name is Amy and I have worked at Home from Home for 6years. I am the supervisor and a fully qualified childcare professional.
I work between the babies and wobblers, I love this age group as it’s lovely to watch the children develop, taking their first steps and learning to communicate with us. One of my main strengths is my ability to connect with the children from an early stage.
Monica Hogan
Hi my name is Monica and I AM Olivia’s mother. I have always cared for children in my home since Olivia was little (that’s probably where Olivia got her love of children from!!!) When Olivia told me she was taking over Home from Home I decided to do the FETAC level 5 childcare course, so I could come and work with her. I am so proud of her and the crèche; it truly is a home away from home for the children. I work in the babies/wobblers area and my main strength is my creativeness in terms of art and craft and sing along.
Breda O Keeffe
Hi my name is Breda and I have been working at Home from Home for 6 yrs. I work in the Montessori in the morn and I take care of the after-school in the afternoon.
I am a fully qualified childcare professional. I love being creative, be it in arts and crafts or our Friday baking. It’s great to see the children get so involved and really enjoying what they are doing, and watching their little faces when they see the finished product is priceless.
Pauline Fitzgerald
Hi my name is Pauline and I have worked in Home from Home for 5 years. I am fully qualified childcare professional and I look after the toddlers. This age group is great, they really show their little personalities, everyday is so different you never know what a child will say or do next.
Art and craft is my talent, and I love encouraging the children to be creative.
Liz
Hi my name is Liz and I have worked in Home from Home since Olivia opened in 2007. I am fully qualified childcare professional and I work between the babies and wobblers.
I feel my own experience of motherhood means I have a real understanding of this age group.
Ellen Fitzgerald
Hi my name is Ellen and I have recently started at Home from Home, although I have 14 yrs experience in childcare. I work in the Montessori and I am a full qualified childcare professional.
I’m also a mother of 3 children from pre-teen to baby, so I feel I have a wealth of experience to share.
